Portraits in Dramatic Time by David Michalek: Alan Rickman [x]

Portraits in Dramatic Time was shot using ultra-high speed, high-definition cameras. The Performers were given roughly 10x10 feet of space to work within. The cameras were fixed, and the live action was recorded for duration of 10 - 15 seconds depending on the scene. Within these constraints, dramatic narratives were condensed down to an essence. [x]

Sometimes a photographer just gets the perfect shot.  I love this image of 1960s Paris.  The stylish older woman, horrified by the young woman’s attire, is nevertheless also fascinated.  The young woman combines sexiness with her mini but innocence with the schoolgirl stockings and shoes.  The best part of this picture is that they are both in the same cafe, reading the paper, trying to become better aware of the world. Yet, it seems they dare not speak to each other.
